Charlotte Laws (Sir Tom Jones' Ex-Girlfriend) Is A Devil Worship Expert!

New Book Reveals the Ghastly Truth about the Devil Worshiper who Murdered Charlotte Laws' Grandfather

Charlotte Laws—BBC TV punditcampaigner for women’s rights, and Sir Tom Jones’ former mistress—has an unusual new interest: Satanism. For the past five years, she has delved into the seedy world of the occult. This was necessary as part of her investigation into her grandfather’s murder in 1948—a crime which made headlines across the nation at the time. Laws has compiled her findings into a book, Devil in the Basement: White Supremacy, Satanic Ritual and My Family.

Sir Tom Jones & Charlotte Laws
Laws’ grandfather, Tucker Moroose, was an attorney with plans to run for the U.S. Senate, although most members of his family worked in the coal mines of West Virginia. This is another tidbit that Laws shares in common with Sir Tom; he also comes from a coal mining background. Laws and Sir Tom dated from 1979 until 1982.

Moroose was murdered by one of the first documented devil worshipers in the U.S. This man deeded his home to the devil (carving “Hell’s Half Acre” into the front steps), named his speed boat “Hell’s A Poppin,” studied occult books, and made a life-size Satanic doll, which he positioned at his breakfast room table in front of a plate of food. Experts believe he was talking to the doll as he planned his heinous deeds, his final act of revenge on the world.

On a foreboding Wednesday in 1948, this man set off bombs, committed murders, and then took his own life. The newspaper reported this as “one of the most bizarre set of tragic events ever to occur.” This was especially true, as this was a small, Christian town.

Laws is a former private detective who has worked with the FBI. She was raised as an adopted child in Atlanta, Georgia, but later tracked down her birth family. Five years ago, she flew to West Virginia, where she met her kin for the first time and learned the details of her grandfather’s grisly murder. She gathered evidence, interviewed over a hundred residents, and toured the crime scene as well as the killer’s former home. She was shown the murder weapon, the creepy carving, and a photo of the life-size doll.

“I felt it was important to write this book, “Laws says. “I am honoring my grandfather by revealing his inspiring life and uncovering the truth about his death.”

Laws plans to give Sir Tom a copy of her book in May when she visits with him in Los Angeles.
